Everyone's Waiting by Missy Higgins Recreation
To look into researching and music videos, we
recreated a clip from a video called Everyone's Waiting by Missy Higgins. In a small group, we had to plan
our transitions and what role people would have e.g. singer and camera master. We
watched the music video and gathered the props needed, then selected a location
on the school premises. I think that our video recreation was alright, however,
if I was to repeat again I would ask the subject to sing rather than mouth the
words, refer to the video throughout the recording process and not move the
camera during the transition as it ruined the continuity of the clip making it
increasingly difficult to attach the 2 parts in the post-production stage. I
know understand the importance of fluidity, especially in a Ballard to make the
overall music video appealing to watch.
